FSR Information for members and guests. Friends of the Salmon River. The Friends of the Salmon River is a non-profit organization formed in 2004. The organization is made up of volunteers, with an elected board of directors. The funding for projects is raised through membership fees, donations, grants, sponsorship and fund raising events. We are people who enjoy the benefits of the ecologically healthy and beautiful watershed of the Salmon River.
The Friends of Salt Springs Park, Inc. Year-long residency began in September 2017. Salt Springs offers the peace and beauty of streams and woodlands combined with nearly 15 miles of trails, historic farm buildings, cottages, camping, picnic grounds, and a variety of programs and events. Sandbanks Provincial Park, its beautiful and unique beaches, nature trails, camping and activities are enjoyed by over 700,000 visitors each year. The Friends of Sandbanks Park, a charitable, non-profit organization was created in 1993 by a small group of local volunteers, in an effort to support Park staff in the maintenance, enhancement and protection of this unique natural wonder.
